Spirit Systems of Soft Knowing

For Keiken’s installation ‘Spirit Systems of Soft Knowing‘ I have developed audio (transducer) hardware which is placed inside a silicone ‘womb’ which can be worn on the body.

The setup had been on display at Amos Rex, Helsinki from March-June 2024, and is currently (October 2025-March 2026) on show at PHI, Montreal, as part of Keiken’s exhibition Sensory Oversoul

Electronics consist of a credit-card sized control board housing a small microcontroller and three audio players. The board is operated using a encoder/pushbutton for start/stop and volume. In the womb three transducers play a synchronised track with a stereo audio track (played back on headphones). LED lights play in sync with the audio.
