Astrobot has been showcased at RobotLove (2018) as an experiment about the believability of social robots. Astrobot is a 3D printed inMoov model robot, built as MSc thesis project by Stanislavs Semjonovs. It uses a camera for face detection and tracking and makes use of Google API’s for speech recognition and will retrieve and read out your horoscope after a short conversation.
The robot is used as case/example in the course Social Robot Design at University of Twente. The scenario movie has been used in showcasing the project and as part of a user evaluation study.
