lucy

lucy is one of my robot ‘actors’ commissioned for the play ‘Nooit Meer Werken‘ by Nieuw Utrechts Toneel (NUT). The robot has been designed based on a frame imported by Aalt Rens (arexx) and used for the show by Thierry Wilders. I added a driving platform built into the base of the robot (which arrived as an empty shell, originally designed as Chinese restaurant robot), a couple of friendly eyes / eyebrows and a MIDI compatible / manual override remote control with which motions of the robot could be controlled from qLab.
